Good governance means ensuring that every citizen enjoys all the rights and freedoms set forth in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Peace and security are two key indicators of good governance.
The three institutions—philosophy, the judiciary and politics—are responsible for ensuring good governance for all citizens, because every citizen who stands outside these three spheres has already, through the work they do in society, the taxes they pay and the votes they cast, paid for the good governance to which they are entitled.
